A fire in Wicomico County over the weekend has caused about $100,000 damage to a home and its contents.
The blaze broke out Sunday afternoon on Downing Street in Hebron. No injuries were reported and firefighters had the fire under control in about half-an-hour.
According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office, a working smoke alarm alerted occupants and everyone got out safely. The fire apparently started in a bedroom, and the cause is still under investigation.
