UPDATED: Arrest Warrants Issued Worcester County Sheriff for 2 after Investigating a Shooting in Pocomoke
UPDATED – 01/07/25 – Worcester County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate a shooting at a convenience store in Pocomoke on Sunday, January 5th just before 10am. Detectives say 18 year old Evrin Holden, Junior of Pocomoke approached the parking lot in front of the Duck In where 19 year old Jymere Williams of Pocomoke was standing next to a vehicle. Both men showed firearms and began shooting at each other. A passenger in the vehicle where Williams was standing got out and ran – and was shot and injured. He was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore. Holden was located at TidalHealth in Salisbury with a gunshot wound to the face and also flown to Shock Trauma. Arrest warrants have been obtained for both Williams and Holden.
Evrin Holden is charged with the following:
- Attempted 1st Degree Murder
- Two Counts of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder
- Two Counts of Assault in the First Degree
- Two Counts of Assault in the Second Degree
- Two Counts of Reckless Endangerment
- Use of a Firearm during a Crime of Violence
- Possession of a Firearm by a Minor

ORIGINAL STORY – 01/05/25 – Worcester County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a shooting in Pocomoke City on Sunday. Officials say the shooting occurred at the Duck In Convenience Store on Lynn Haven Drive – one person was transported to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Hospital for treatment.
That investigation is continuing.
