The Worcester County Board of Education has sent it’s 110 million dollar budget proposal to the County Commissioners for their review.

The spending plan is highlighted by increases in capital spending and raises for employees. The School Board’s Chief Finance Officer tells The Dispatch that if approved, the budget would give educators the biggest salary increase they’ve seen in a decade.

The budget also includes 19.8 million dollars in state aid, an increase of more than 17 percent from the last budget.
