Wicomico County Man Arrested for July 4th Burglary

A 30-year-old Quantico man is behind bars after Deputies say he burglarized a residence.

The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office reports that 30-year-old Richard Willinger, Jr. of Quantico was arrested on July 5 after an investigation into a residential burglary at a home in the 22000 block of Wetipquin Road. Deputies say the resident had fallen asleep in the living room when he was awoken by a loud noise around 4:30 a.m. on Independence Day. The resident recognized the subject as Willinger. He learned that Willinger entered the residence through a window. The resident learned that Willinger had stolen cash from a coffee table.

At the conclusion of the investigation, the Deputy placed Willinger under arrest and he was charged with Burglary in the First Degree and Theft between 100 and 1,5000 dollars. He was detained at the Wicomico County Detention Center without bond.
