WGMD Fishing Report 9-5-19

Wednesday was the calm before the storm.  Right now, the hurricane is supposed to go well east of Delaware, but it can go wherever it wants to so until it鈥檚 gone, we will stay alert.  My guess is most fishing activity will come to a halt until at least Sunday and probably not until the first of the week.

On Tuesday, Gene Laskowski and Beth Rada were part of the crew on the Thelma Dale IV that did very well on sea bass returning to the dock with just a few fish short of a limit.  On Wednesday, Maria Crist fished on the Angler and caught a 2.26-pound trout on a clam bait.  The Grizzly with Captain Cary Evans had dolphin and sea bass for his party on Tuesday.

Clark at Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said the inlet saw blues and flounder caught during incoming water.  Captain Aaron Herd had parties in the morning and afternoon and both caught flounder, trout and bluefish from the inlet.

At Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m Burt said the head boat had flounder to six pounds plus some sea bass.  Boats fishing further offshore had dolphin.
