WGMD Fishing Report 9-26-19

Wednesday was another beautiful day and I was at Indian River Inlet just after sunrise.  The current was slack and it didn鈥檛 look promising for the outgoing water so I headed to Three Rs Road.  There I was greeted by a hoard of barn flies that set upon my legs.  Before I could think about fishing, I had to spray my legs with Off.  After that the flies were no longer a problem.

I fished until noon with mullet on one rod and FishBite bloodworms on the other.  The mullet attracted only critters, the FishBites attracted spot.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina had some real exciting news.  The Katydid fished ocean structure where they caught two big porgies.  One weighed 4.25 pounds and the other weighed 4.20 pounds.  The boat also had 60 triggerfish and 49 sea bass.

Deanna at Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m also had a porgy in her reports.  It was caught along with a few flounder and sea bass on the Judy V.  The Karen Sue fished structure at Fenwick Shoal and caught triggerfish and pompano.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
