WGMD Fishing Report 9-19-19
Wednesday was another rough day with small craft advisories up for the ocean, Delaware and Chesapeake bays. They will be up again on Thursday and may be back up on Friday for the ocean as seas are predicted to be at seven feet even though the wind is supposed to drop out to five to ten west.
Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said one customer did stop by to report he caught some small rockfish at Roosevelt Inlet on Tuesday night.
At Lighthouse View Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park the report was a few blues, spot and croaker at high tide.
Dianna at Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m said they had not seen a single fish all day.
Clark at Old Inlet Bait and Tackle told us he did have reports of rockfish caught out of the inlet at night. Plastic shads by Tsunami or Storm have been the best lures while eels have made the best baits. Their surf tournament is scheduled for next weekend September 28 and 29.
