WGMD Fishing Report 8-6-19

bill-o

Monday was a bit cloudy, but otherwise a good fishing day.

As of 5:00 PM the Chaisn’ Tail out of Virginia Beach, Virginia was leading the White Marlin Open with a 74-pound white marlin worth $1,450,000.  With four more days to go and 403 boats fishing for 6.1 million dollars the Chasin’ Tail crew will have some sleepless nights.

Anita Chandler caught a one-pound, seven-ounce king from the surf at Fenwick Island for a well-deserved Delaware citation.  To the best of my knowledge, this is the largest king taken so far this year.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina told us Dave Walker and four friends brought in a five-man limit of flounder from ocean structure on Sunday.  The Katydid had a seven-man limit of flounder from ocean structure also on Sunday.  Captain Keith Beebe on Surface Tension caught 13 nice sea bass and seven big ling for his party off of ocean structure on Monday.
