WGMD Fishing Report 8-4-19
Saturday was warm and the seas were flat calm.
Dan鈥檚 Tackle Box reported that Steve caught two three-pound flounder out of Indian River Inlet on live spot that he caught in a cast net.
Rick鈥檚 Bait and Tackle told us Eric Ludwig had a 23-pound wahoo while trolling at the Tea Cup on Darrel Hawk鈥檚 boat Sandra D.
The Captain Ike has been catching king and Spanish mackerel inshore with tiles, dolphin and blue and white marlin offshore.
Old Inlet reported that blues are caught out of Indian River Inlet on metal or bucktails during incoming water. Kings, spot and croaker have been caught from the beach on bloodworms or FishBite bloodworms.
Lighthouse View Tackle on the Fishing Pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said spot continue to take bloodworms or FishBite Bloodworms at high tide. Flounder are caught on minnows fished around the pier pilings.
The Thelma Dale IV had good flounder fishing with several folks getting limit catches.
Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m told us flounder were caught at the Old Grounds and dolphin were taken offshore.
