Wednesday saw another hot and humid August day with a strong southwest wind that had small craft advisories up in the afternoon.

Dave at Lighthouse View Tackle on the fishing pier on Cape Henlopen State Park said the spot run continues during periods of high tide.  Bloodworms or FishBite bloodworms remain the best baits.

At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle we heard about Caleb O鈥橩eefe who caught a 2.5-pound trout on a speck rig out of Indian River Inlet.  The fish won Caleb a Delaware Junior Fishing Citation.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said Dave and Anna Koziosky took their Dad Tom out of Indian River Inlet on the First Light with Captain Chuck.  They used squid and minnows to catch five keeper flounder to 20 inches over ocean structure.  Scott Ischinger, Paul Norcini and Charlie Schumacher fished with Captain Dave on the True to Life Charter around the Ice Breakers to catch three triggerfish to 2.5 pounds.
