Sunday was warm with a bit more wind from the southwest. Fishing remained good.
We are finally hearing reports of slot rockfish from the Upper Delaware Bay. George at Eastern Marine told us Darrick Bolton caught ten or more rock between 18 and 26 inches on bloodworms from the submerged jetty off of Augustine Beach. Steve at Smith Bait in Leipsic said the fishing pier at Woodland Beach has seen some slot rockfish caught on peeler crab. He also said keeper trout have been caught from North Bowers Beach on the same bait.
Dan鈥檚 Tackle Box had a customer who caught a 46-inch cobia at 14-Foot Light on a bunker chunk. He also had a couple of other customers who caught cobia out of Delaware Bay on bunker or bucktails.
Ricky Mills and Jack Hendrickson fished the Outer Wall on Friday catching three triggers to 3.25 pounds on sand fleas and one 2.86-pound flounder on nuclear chicken Gulp!.
