WGMD Fishing Report 7-16-19
Monday was a perfect day to go fishing and that is exactly what I planned to do. I backed my truck out of the garage, put my surf rods in the rod rack and when I tried to release the parking brake, the cable snapped. The truck is now sitting at the mechanics waiting for a new cable.
Tommy at Lewes Harbour Marina spent Sunday on the Chasin’ Tail in the canyon trolling for tuna. The tuna did not cooperate, so he and the crew deep dropped and caught golden and blueline tilefish. The Pirate King had another good bottom fishing trip to the Shears catching kings on squid and clams. The Tranquila was out on Sunday and came back with flounder and sea bass from ocean structure. The Grizzly ran to the Baltimore Canyon on Sunday and caught tuna and tilefish.
Ben C on Saltfish said he fished Massey’s Canyon and the 19-Fathom Lump both on the troll and the chunk. He caught a dolphin, a couple of false albacore and five big blues.
Dan’s Tackle Box reported that Sammy and Blaine caught 13 kings from ocean surf.
