Tuesday saw another hot day with a strong southwest wind and seas running two to three feet in the ocean.

At Lewes Harbour Marina Amanda’s big news was the total amount of money raised during the Joe Morris Memorial Canal Flounder Tournament was $14,750. This includes the entry fees, tee shirt sale and the sale of bucktails made by Jim. The money was donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in Joe Morris’ name.

Amanda also told us the Katydid’s deep-drop trip on Monday produced two citations. Mike Surowiec had a 38.3-pound golden tilefish and Danny Kawachuhi caught another golden tile citation at 37 pounds. The Surface Tension had some black drum out of Delaware Bay on Monday night.

Deanna at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em told us about the first yellowfin tuna of the year brought in on the Valkyrie with Brandon Cramer, Steve Paris and Todd Ellis. It was caught at the Poorman’s Canyon on a Wide Tracker.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
