WGMD Fishing Report 5-8-21

With small craft advisories up for Saturday it was a rough go for most fishermen from shore and from boats.
At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle Clark described the Spring Surf Tournament as a slow go. High hook was four kingfish. Cindy Haskett had those and walked away with $750 for first place. Steve Merrick had 36 points good for second and won $500. John Dixon, Sr. came in third with 26 points and took home $250. Poor, old Mike Green only caught a 20-inch bluefish good for 21 points and fourth place worth $150. Then he added the $1,000 prize for the largest fish in the tournament and another $1,920 for the bluefish Calcutta. He walked away with a grand total of $3,070.
