WGMD Fishing Report 5-4-21
Tuesday was a nice, warm spring day, but not many people went fishing. Wednesday and Thursday promise seas in the ocean of three to four feet and Friday the seas drop out to less than two feet.
I went back up to the Indian River Inlet around 1:30 PM and found the shad still there. I caught one on my first cast and they were still biting when I left at 3:30 PM.
Tommy at Lewes Harbour Marina said Tony Wells caught two 16-inch tog at Indian River Inlet on shrimp. Al Manning fished on the Go Fish with green crab at the Outer Wall to catch an 8.26-pound citation tog.
Chris at Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m said the Judy V is planning to run tog trips this weekend.
At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle they said there have been some trout caught out of the South Pocket along with some rockfish in the slot. Swimshads remain the top baits.
The Fish for a Cure Surf Tournament participants must have their entry form and money to Old Inlet by Friday, May 7.
