WGMD Fishing Report 5-3-21
Monday saw winds from the southwest at 10 to 15 and it looks like Tuesday will be the same. The forecast for the rest of the week has winds increasing to 15 to 20 knots and waves in the ocean going to four feet.
Tommy at Lewes Harbour Marina said Joe Calvert fished off of Slaughter Beach on Sunday evening at what I have to guess would be the Coral Beds to catch a 23.3-pound black drum on clams. Captain Mark had the Savannah Lynn out for two trips on Sunday. The day trip resulted in a catch of tog from ocean structure. In the evening he ran over the Cape May where he put young Hunter Pluto on a big drum. The party caught several more drum. The Grizzly had a catch of tog from ocean structure on Monday.
Burt at Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m said several slot rockfish were caught from the jetty on Sunday night and Monday morning. Swimshads were the top bait. Flounder were caught out of the Back Bays on squid and minnows.
