WGMD Fishing Report 5-21-21
Friday was another beautiful fishing day and 430 anglers took advantage of the weather to fish the Joe Morris Memorial Canal Flounder Tournament. When all was said and done at 4:00 PM Ricky Blitz was in First Place with his 4.44-pound flounder. In Second Place was Heather Strickland with a 4.08-pound flatfish. A 3.98-pound flounder was in Third Place and was caught by Rich Attkinson. Fourth Place went to Shawn Carpenter who weighed in a 3.83 pounder. In Fifth Place we had Kara Smith with her 3.67-pound flounder. Finally, in Sixth Place was Austin Presley with a 3.50 pounder. The first four places split $8,600. The last two are awarded fishing tackle donated by Lewes Harbour Marina. The other $8,600 will go to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. In addition, sales of tournament tee shirts and bucktails donated by Tom will be added to the total donation.
