WGMD Fishing Report 3-28-18

Tuesday was still pretty cold, but the wind backed off just a bit.  Pretty sure no one fished the open bay or ocean and if they did they probably didn’t do very well.

Had some sad news from Maryland where Harrison’s Chesapeake House on Tilghman Island has been sold after four generations of ownership by the Harrison family.  It was my pleasure to have known three of the four generations of that family and I must say they really knew how to treat their guests.

If you bought the Buddy Plan, named after the late Captain Buddy Harrison, you arrived at the lodge in the late afternoon, dropped your luggage off in your room and went down to the bar for a bit of your favorite adult beverage.  Then it was a delicious Eastern Shore dinner with crab cakes, stewed tomatoes and fried chicken.  The next morning started out with a big breakfast, a day of fishing and a box lunch.  Back at the dock in the early afternoon you grabbed your gear and headed to the fish cleaning station where your catch was waiting.  All of that for $225.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
