WGMD Fishing Report 3-22-19
While I can’t be absolutely certain that no one went fishing on Thursday, I can be certain that if they did they love a fish a whole lot more than I do. Rain, wind and cold make for a nasty day and that’s exactly what we had on Thursday. Friday and Saturday look to be dryer, but the wind will remain until Sunday.
I did get a report from Kevin Twilley, mate on the Fish Bound. They have been out of the water doing maintenance, but went back in on Wednesday. They caught a boat limit of 32 tog to 11 pounds not counting the release of several big females.
The boat ramp at Phillips Landing, at the junction of Broad Creek and the Nanticoke River, is closed until March 25th for repaving the parking lot. The job is weather dependent and since I am pretty sure they lost Thursday the work may not be finished by the 25th.
Open water fishing will be tough this weekend, but perch should be available in the tidal rivers and creeks on bloodworms and minnows.
