WGMD Fishing Report 12-13-18
Thursday was a good weather day and several boats went out in the ocean for tog. Unfortunately, we only have a report from one. Hopefully, we will have the others in Friday’s report.
Amanda said the Katydid had a good catch of tog including three citations weighing 12.65, 9.21 and 8.37 pounds.
Earlier in the day, Lauren at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said several boats from the Indian River Marina were out, but when I called back at 4:30 no one answered the phone.
On Wednesday I fished on the Jamaica II out of Brielle, New Jersey with my son Roger. We left the dock at 0500 for a 12-hour trip and after a two and a half hour run we fished in 140 feet of water for sea bass. We caught spiny dog sharks. The captain moved several times and the dogs stayed with us. Finally moved inshore to the Mud Hole where I caught a sea bass and Roger caught the pool winning cod. Picked at ling for the rest of the trip and back at the dock at 1700. Great day on the water!
