The ocean was rough on Thursday, but the Delaware Bay was fishable. Friday will see north winds at 15 to 20 knots with gusts to 25 and seas at three to four feet. Saturday the wind will go northeast at 10 knots with seas remaining at three to four feet.

The report from Lewes Harbour Marina was the Katydid ran six miles offshore before turning around and coming back to the dock. The Surface Tension fished the Outer Wall and returned with eight keeper tog. Several private boats also had keeper tog.

At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle they said tog fishing is getting better every day with more keepers taken from the rocks at Indian River Inlet. The baits of choice have been green crabs and sand fleas. If you plan to fish the inlet, get to the shop early because they have been running low on bait by the afternoon. Still no sign of any slot rockfish at night, but small rock have been caught by tog fishermen or by others using paddletails.
