WGMD Fishing Report 11-3-19

Saturday was chilly, but the wind dropped out and both head, charter and private boats were able to sail.  Sunday looks a bit breezy, but Monday and Tuesday look fine.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said the Katydid came in with a nice catch of tog.  A few private boats had limits of sea bass and others had good numbers of tog.  It looks like the cooler weather did turn the larger tog on.

At Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m, Lauren told us the Captain Ike had a boat limit of sea bass from ocean structure.  The Gale Force with Captain Aaron Herd had a boat limit of tog, also from ocean structure.

The report from Old Inlet Bait and Tackle was lots of folks fishing for tog with green crabs at Indian River Inlet, but very few catching keepers.  At least one 20-incher was caught along with lots of fish below the 16-inch minimum size limit.  At least one keeper trout was caught from the beach by an angler walking the sand and casting a Gotcha plug.  Trout and rockfish were caught from the North Jetty on bucktails with plastic worms.
