Sunday saw rough seas on the ocean, but the bay was fishable. Monday will see small craft advisories up for west winds at 20 to 25 knots with gusts to 30 and seas of three to five feet. Tuesday the wind will remain out of the west at 10 to 15 knots in the morning with three to four-foot seas then drop out in the afternoon with seas of two feet or less.

At Lewes Harbour Marina the report was good tog fishing in the bay. The Katydid, the Surface Tension the Grizzly and several private boats all had nice numbers of tog on Sunday. Sand fleas and green crabs were the most popular baits.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said most surf fishermen have grown tired of catching tiny blues, skates and dogfish and are working the inlet for tog. Sand fleas and green crab have produced lots of shorts and a reasonable number of keepers to 18 inches. I find using a single hook rig reduces the amount of tackle I lose and the number of things that can get caught in the rocks.
