WGMD Fishing Report 11-13-19
As nice as Monday was that鈥檚 how nasty Tuesday became. Gale warnings and rain that changed to snow should have kept anyone with half a brain inside and far away from the water.
I do have the results of the Cape Hatteras Angler鈥檚 Club 62nd Annual Surf Fishing Tournament. This is the largest surf fishing tournament in the world with 100 teams consisting of six anglers per team fishing four sessions over two days. I have never fished the tournament, but I did cover it for several years and believe me the fishermen and women take it very seriously.
First Place with 175 points was the Outer Banks Sportfishers. In Second Place were the Fish Hoggs of the Eastern Shore Angler鈥檚 Club with 172 points. In Third Place were the Outer Banks Hurricanes with 115 points and in Fourth Place were the Delaware Surfcasters with 102 points. Points are scored by the length of the fish caught. No monetary prizes, but fishing tackle will no longer be a problem for the winners.
