WGMD Fishing Report 10-8-22
Saturday saw some pretty poor fishing reports.
Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said she wished she could tell me the cleaning table was covered with fish. The truth is she had not seen a single fish all day.
At Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m, they said no boats went out but they did see a 5-pound flounder caught out of Indian River Inlet.
I had a report from Facebook of a 6-pound flounder caught by Rich Morgan right at the Coast Guard Station while fishing from the sidewalk.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said one of their regular tog fishermen reported catching 49 tog with exactly one keeper. At least he was busy. As for surf fishing, they described that as terrible.
One place where surf fishing was not terrible was North Jersey. During the Barrier Island Beach Brawl, 51 striped bass between 43 and 50 inches were caught and released on Saturday.
All we can do is wait and hope those fish come to the Delaware surf.
