WGMD Fishing Report 10-3-19
Wednesday was hot and humid with small craft advisories up for high seas on the ocean.
Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said Ralph Short fished on the Fish Whistle with Captain Charlie Horning and caught a 94.2-pound wahoo. Brian Gilbert fished on the Katydid with Captain Brent Wiest and caught a 6.7-pound flounder and a 2.5-pound triggerfish. Doug Krile was on the Pirate King when he reeled in a 4-pound triggerfish.
Lighthouse View Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park will be open until next week. Today they reported small rockfish and blues on cut mullet.
At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle not much new to report as small blues were caught from the surf on cut mullet and from the inlet on small spoons.
Over last weekend Sue Keller had a false albacore on the Strike Zone while trolling the inshore grounds. Don and Ronnie Smith had twin pompano on sand fleas while fishing from the Angler.
