WGMD Fishing Report 10-26-18
As predicted, a few boats did fish on Friday morning, but they didn’t miss all the rough weather. Captain John Nedelka on the Karen Sue fished Site 10 catching short tog and a big sheepshead and a triggerfish. He said the short run from the Indian River Inlet was sporty.
Lauren at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em told us the Bail Out had 15 big sea bass. The big news was the Boy’s Toy coming in with four swordfish. I don’t recall any Delaware boat ever bringing in four swords.
Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said the Snow Goose had a good catch of sea bass. Another boat fished the Outer Wall catching 60 tog with only four keepers.
I spent the morning looking for people catching fish. I found quite a few folks working the inlet from the sidewalk and at Bubblegum Beach. They were all catching tog, but I didn’t see one over six inches.
Moving to Lewes, I checked out the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park and found three people fishing. Lighthouse View Tackle is closed for the season.
