WGMD Fishing Report 10-24-19
Small craft advisories were up again on Wednesday, but Thursday looks good. I hope this forecast holds up because I am scheduled to go sea bass fishing with Captain Cary Evans on the Grizzly out of Fisherman鈥檚 Wharf. This will be my first ocean trip out of Delaware in 2019.
Tommy at Lewes Harbour Marina said none of the charter or head boats ran on Wednesday, but several are planning to go on Thursday.
At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle the report was Abel Murray caught a three-pound, six-ounce tog on a sand flea out of Indian River Inlet on Tuesday. On Wednesday more small tog with a few more keepers were taken from the inlet on sand fleas and green crabs. Some speckled trout were caught from the South Pocket on jigs and gray trout to 20 inches fell to jigs from the jetty on the North Side. Keeper rockfish were caught on live eels at night from the jetties. Small blues were caught on fresh mullet along the beach.
White Clay Creek has been stocked with 1,000 pounds of trout.
