WGMD Fishing Report 10-15-21

bill-o

Friday was an absolutely beautiful day for fishing!  The rest of the weekend, not so much.  Small craft advisories are up for the ocean and bay with winds out of the south at 15 to 20 knots with gusts to 30 and seas of three to four feet.  On Sunday the wind will switch to the northwest at 15 to 20 with gusts to 25 and three-to-four-foot seas in the ocean and three-foot seas in the bay.  Don鈥檛 you believe it!  There is no lee shore in Delaware Bay during a northwest blow.  I can promise you the seas will build to five and six feet in the bay, especially when the current is running in.  At the mouth of the bay the seas will be even bigger.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said the Katydid, the Surface Tension and the Angler all brought in sea bass.  The Reel Chaotic had a catch of tuna.

At Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m Burt said the Fish Whistle had two bigeye tuna.  The Captain Bob II had close to a limit of sea bass plus three flounder.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
