WGMD Fishing Report 10-1-18

Monday turned out to be a beautiful fishing day on the ocean.

At Lewes Harbour Marina we saw a nice catch of sea bass on the cleaning table along with one very big triggerfish.  These fish came off the FOMO and were caught over ocean structure.  The Katydid was just pulling into the dock so I walked down to see what the Monday Group had caught.  Chris unloaded two baskets, one overflowing with sea bass and the other half filled with flounder.  Brent said all the fish were caught over ocean structure.  On Sunday, the Katydid had a good catch of flounder and sea bass with Joe McNeal taking the pool with a big flounder. 

Dan’s Tackle said on Sunday Ron Keefer caught a nice black drum while fishing sand fleas for tog.

At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle, the report was loads of small blues from the inlet on incoming current.  Smooth dog sharks were caught from the beach.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said it was a mixed bag of flounder, croaker, trout and sea bass on the morning head boat.
