February 10, 2019
Over 200 members of the Delaware Air National Guard’s 166th Airlift Wing will be welcomed home this afternoon at the Bob Carpenter Center at the University of Delaware. They were mobilized to multiple areas in Southwest Asia and around the world in support of the war on terrorism. They all returned to the First State by the end of last year. One unit – the 142nd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron – flew over 180 medical evacuations in Afghanistan and Iraq. Governor John Carney will be on hand to welcome them home at 2pm.
