Wanted Maryland man located, arrested in Delmar

Delaware State Police have located and arrested 37-year-old Dionederik R. Godwin of Bishopville, Maryland, who was wanted in connection with a domestic related incident in which he displayed a firearm

According to Delaware State Police, around 8:50 p.m., Monday troopers responded to a residence in the 35000 block of Mount Herman Circle in Delmar where Godwin was taken into custody without incident.

Godwin was charged with Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, Strangulation, Aggravated Menacing, Endangering the Welfare of a Child (5 counts), Offensive Touching (2 counts).

Godwin was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $46,750 secured bond.
