Verbal Argument Leads to Shooting at Dover Salon

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place at Janaid’s Salon in Dover on Saturday afternoon.

Officers say around 3:10 p.m. they responded to the salon on West Loockerman Street for a reported shooting. They located a 31-year-old male with a single gunshot wound to the shoulder. They later learned the victim had taken part in a verbal altercation with another man in the salon which escalated into an exchange of gunfire between the two men. The victim was admitted to a local hospital where he underwent surgery and is in serious but stable condition. According to Police, there were about 20 people in the salon at the time of the incident. No one else was injured.
