Delaware State Police are investigating a crash Monday evening at Route 13 and Corn Crib Road which left a bicycle rider dead. Emergency personnel from Harrington and Kent County paramedics were called just before 6pm. State Police say a Honda driven by a 30 year old man from Houston was stopped on westbound Corn Crib Road and then pulled onto northbound South DuPont Highway – colliding with a 65 year old man from Harrington who was riding a bicycle going southbound in the northbound shoulder of the intersection. The bicycle rider ended up in the right northbound lane and was struck a second time by a northbound pickup truck driven by a 65 year old man from Dover, which dragged the victim a short distance. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Both drivers were properly restrained and not injured.
