Upcoming Public Hearing Workshops to Provide Input and Comments on Proposed Changes to DART Statewide Bus Services
Changes may be coming for those who use DART services. Cathy Smith, who is the planning manager for Delaware Transit Corporation says that under proposed plans, many of the routes and all three counties including intercounty routes would have schedule adjustments to improve their on-time performance and their connections. For Sussex County, you would see time adjustments on 201, 215, and 212 to improve connections. The 203 Orange Line would be eliminated due to low ridership with alternative service being provided by extensions on the Route 204 and 208. Service to Big Oaks Campground would be eliminated as well. The Route 204 Yellow Line would be extended to the Rehoboth Park and Ride during the beach bus season, and it will add service along Route 1 as well. For more information visit, Public Hearings – Dart First State. All of the feedback and comments on the proposals need to be submitted by Friday, February 9th. The proposals are recommended to be implemented on Sunday, May 19th.
