Two Sussex County Men Die in CBBT Crash Friday

The investigation into a crash Friday on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel continues today.  CBBT officials tell WGMD that a van and tractor trailer collided in the southbound lanes – with a speed limit of 35mph on the bridge and heavy rain falling.  Four people in the van were treated for injuries and released, however the tractor trailer went over the side of the bridge.  The body of 29 year old Christopher Fenner of Seaford was recovered from the tractor trailer Saturday evening.  The body of the driver, 32 year old Jervone Hall of Bridgeville was found Sunday morning off Fisherman’s Island.  Officials say emergency repairs have enabled the southbound lanes to be reopened, however the shoulder lane will remain closed until permanent repairs can be made – the curb and guardrail suffered extensive damage from the crash.
