Two Arrested on Drug Charges at Milford Public Library
The Milford Police Narcotics Unit has concluded an investigation that led to the arrest of two Milford residents on numerous drug charges.
Officers obtained a search warrant for a Blue Jeep Cherokee believed to be involved in the sale of illicit drugs. They conducted surveillance of the vehicle outside of the Milford Public Library off of South Washington Street in Milford. Detectives observed the two suspects entering the vehicle and grabbing a container from a hidden location on the vehicle’s exterior. They then re-entered the library. At that time, Officers entered the library and detained the suspects.
The suspects were identified as 38-year-old Lucretia Chandler of Milford and 39-year-old Antonio Tyler of Milford. In a subsequent search of their vehicle, Detectives discovered a small black hide a key box discretely located on the exterior of the vehicle containing heroin. A search of Tyler yielded drug paraphernalia related to heroin and an undisclosed amount of money.
Officers transported both suspects back to the Milford Police Department where they were charged with Drug Paraphernalia, Second Degree Conspiracy and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Chandler was released on 5,700 dollars unsecured bail and Tyler was released on 12,200 dollars secured bail. Both were issued no contact orders by the Milford Public Library.
