Two Arrested Following Theft Investigations in Frankford & Berlin
Two Dagsboro residents have been arrested by Delaware State Police following a theft investigation. Police investigated several thefts of a similar nature in the Frankford area where unknown suspects entered a commercial property and stole a skid steer. Worcester County Sheriff’s deputies were also investigating thefts in Berlin. The two agencies identified 40 year old Cody Hudson and 45 year old Tara Higgins as the suspects in the Frankford and Berlin incidents. Both were arrested on Wednesday after a search warrant was executed at a Swamp Road property in Dagsboro and one of the stolen skid steers was recovered as well as property stolen from Maryland. Both face multiple charges in Delaware:
- Theft over $50,000 (Felony)
- Theft over $1,500 (Felony)
- Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony) – 3 counts
- Receiving Stolen Property over $1,500 (Felony)
- Tampering with Evidence (Felony)
- Receiving Stolen Property under $1,500
- Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree – 2 counts
Both Hudson and Higgins were arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and each released on a $11,502 unsecured bond. Charges from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office are pending.
