Tuesday Is Election Day In Va., NJ., & Pittsville, Md.
Election Day 2021 is almost here, as residents of Virginia and New Jersey prepare to settle high-profile gubernatorial races. One Eastern Shore community also has a local election Tuesday. There is no election in Delaware.
Polls in Virginia will open for Election Day Tuesday between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Virginians have been voting early as well.
The most-watched race in the country this year is Virginia’s race for governor between Democrat Terry McAuliffe and Republican Glenn Youngkin.
Accomack County voters also have the opportunity to cast ballots for Attorney General and the House of Delegates.
Special elections are also taking place in Chincoteague and Parksley to settle local council races.

New Jerseyans will head to the polls Tuesday for the 2021 election – at least those who have not voted early or by mail.
Polls are open in The Garden State between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
At the top of the ballot, Governor Phil Murphy is seeking re-election. The incumbent Democrat is being challenged by Republican Jack Ciattarelli.
Positions on county commissions and in several municipalities will also be on the line in several South Jersey counties.

Tuesday is election day in Pittsville, Wicomico County.
Three positions on the town commission will be decided. Six candidates are in the race, including three incumbents Frederick Adkins, Erica Moore-Lecates and Edward Palmer. Also running are David Carozza, David Goslee Junior and Dawn toner.
Voting will take place between noon and 7:00 p.m. at the Pittsville Fire Department. The winners will serve four-year terms.
