Troopers Searching for Rehoboth Outlets Shoplifting Suspect
Delaware State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identified a suspect wanted in connection with a shoplifting incident and disregard for a police officer’s signal.
The incident took place on April 24 around 6 p.m. at the Tanger Nike Outlet on Bayside Outlet Drive in Rehoboth. Troopers were dispatched after receiving reports a suspect had removed approximately 80 dollars worth of clothing and fled the store without paying.
The suspect was seen fleeing in a maroon colored 2006 Pontiac Grand AM with Pennsylvania registration KY1269, registered in Philadelphia. Troopers located the vehicle in the Seaside Outlet parking lot and initiated a traffic stop. At that point, a brief pursuit ensued when the vehicle struck an unoccupied vehicle and continued to flee from authorities.
The suspect is described as an African-American male wearing a white t-shirt, black hat and gray, white and orange colored sneakers.
The suspect is wanted on numerous charges including disregarding a Police Officer’s signal, shoplifting, resisting arrest, leaving the scene of an Accident, Reckless Driving, Failure to Provide Information at a Collision Scene and Failure to Report a Collision.
