Troopers Investigate Gunshot Fired into Felton Home

Delaware State Police are investigating a single gunshot into a home north of Felton on Friday night.

Troopers responded to the residence in the unit block of Appalachian Drive around 8:15 p.m. for a reported single gunshot. The resident reported sitting in the living room when he heard a loud noise towards his bedroom. He walked in and turned on the bedroom light to observe pieces of drywall on his bed and rug. He looked up and discovered a hole in the wall, appearing to be from a projectile. He then saw a bullet on the carpet near the entrance of the room.

Troopers searched the neighborhood and neighbors reported hearing a single gunshot sound near the north side of that residence. There are no reported injuries.
