Traffic Stop in Wicomico County Leads to Drug Arrest

A traffic stop around 2:30 Saturday morning by Maryland State Police on Route 13 in Wicomico County led to the arrest of 3 men. Police saw the driver make an unsafe lane change and continued to drive in an unsafe manner and Troopers stopped the vehicle. Police spotted marijuana on the driver’s sweater and then searched the car – finding 35 baggies of marijuana, 16 vials of cocaine, a digital scale and other drug paraphernalia. The driver, 21 year old Raquan Williams of Essex, and passengers both from Baltimore, denied any knowledge of the drugs found in the car. All of them were arrested on CDS charges and Williams was also charged with DUI.
