Traffic Stop in Salisbury Leads to Weapons Seizure
April 14, 2019
A traffic stop by Maryland State Police turned up a gun and drugs. Just after 8 Saturday night police attempted to stop a vehicle at Isabella and Division Streets, but the driver kept going. Eventually the driver stopped and a passenger got out and ran off. Police contacted the driver and rear passenger and smelled marijuana. A search of the vehicle turned up additional marijuana and a loaded 380 semi-automatic handgun. The rear passenger also gave police a false name before being identified as 20 year old Daquan Savage, who is prohibited from possessing firearms. Savage faces weapons offenses.
