Traffic Help During Firefly Music Festival in Dover

The Firefly Music Festival is this coming weekend in Dover – at The Woodlands of Dover International Speedway. A reminder to drivers in the area – camping load-in will begin on Thursday – the music festival is Friday through Sunday and traffic around Dover will be heavy.

Most of the camping Check-In/Processing will be in Lot one at Dover International Speedway – traffic from the south will enter Lot 1 from northbound Route 13 through Jefferic Boulevard and from the north using Leipsic Road. Once processed – you will go to your assigned camping area.

DelDOT officials say the Visit Delaware Shuttle will run Friday through Sunday transporting music fans along three routes – with convenient arrival times of 11am, 1:30pm, 4pm and 7pm.
Departure times are 9pm, 10pm, midnight, 1am and 2:30am (2:30am only Friday and Saturday)

The Delaware Beach Line will make stops at the Holiday Inn Express in Bethany Beach, Hyatt Place in Dewey Beach and the Sleep Inn & Suites in Rehoboth Beach

TRAFFIC INFORMATION:
Traffic will be monitored by DelDOT’s Transportation Management Center throughout the festival. The intersection of Leipsic and Persimmon Tree Road will be CLOSED to through traffic beginning at 8am Friday until 2am Monday. Local residents will NOT have access through the closure until the end of the festival when all roads will reopen.

Festival patrons who will not be camping on Speedway property – daily parking is available in the speedway parking lots which are accessible from the Main Entrance to the Speedway from Route 13.
