Time Is Running Out To Comment On Md. Legislative Panel’s Redistricting Maps
The Maryland Legislative Redistricting Advisory Commission has set a deadline of today (Thursday) for comments from the public on a set of maps that were produced last week.
Leaders of the panel said the maps were produced after holding nine hearings and hearing a wide variety of testimony across the state. Four proposed Congressional maps were produced. Two of them would make significant changes to the 1st District, which includes the Eastern Shore and is currently represented by Republican Andy Harris.
