TIDEWATER WATER MAIN BREAK IN LEWES AREA

Residents in the Red Mill Pond and Sweetbriar developments who use Tidewater Utilities have been without water since about 11am. Tidewater officials tell WGMD that a contractor ruptured a 12-inch main this morning and service has been shut down for the afternoon. About 570 homes are affected by the break. When service is restored – Tidewater uses will receive a global call to let them know that service is back – however you should boil any water you plan to use for drinking or cooking for about 5 minutes before using.
