Three teens arrested, charged in shooting brawl that injured girl in Felton
Delaware State Police have arrested three juvenile siblings in connection with a shooting that critically injured a 19-year-old girl in Felton.
According to the Delaware State Police Department, the incident occurred shortly before 6 p.m., Sunday as troopers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Barney Jenkins Road, Felton, for reports of multiple shots being fired.
Troopers arrived and learned that a 19-year-old female had been struck by gunfire and privately transported to a local area hospital.
Through further investigation, three juveniles were identified as suspects: 16-year-old Lawrence Horsey, 17-year-old Jada Wyatte, and 17-year-old Jaden N. Wyatte.
Horsey was identified as the suspect who wore a disguise, pulled out a firearm, and discharged multiple rounds, one of which struck the 19-year-old victim.
All three suspects were taken into custody without incident on Wednesday.
Horsey was charged with Attempted to Commit Murder First Degree, Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by Prohibited Juvenile, Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony, Riot-Intent to Commit Facilitate Commission of Felony or Misdemeanor, and Conspiracy Second Degree. He was arraigned and committed to the Stevenson House Detention Center on $821000.00 secured bond.
Jada Wyatte and Jaden Wyatte were each charged with Riot-Intent to Commit Facilitate Commission of Felony or Misdemeanor and Conspiracy Second Degree. Both were committed to the Stevenson House Detention Center on $5000.00 secured bond.
