Three More Flu Deaths in DE – DPH Officials Urge Flu Vaccine for those Needing It
Flu is on the rise in Delaware and Public Health officials say there have been three additional flu-related deaths – bring to the total in the First State to eight so far this season. Of the three current deaths – a 74 year old Sussex County woman with multiple underlying health conditions passed away due to complications from the flu. Statewide – those who have died are aged 41 to 82 and four have been from Sussex County, 1 from Kent and three from New Castle County. All were infected with Influenza A. Public Health officials urge you to get a flu shot if you have not yet gotten one. Significant flu activity is expected to continue into the spring. So far there have been over 1200 lab-confirmed cases of flu in Delaware.
