Three Injured in Crash Near Gumboro

Three people were injured when a car became disabled on Shell Station Road near Gumboro, the occupants in the car called a nearby friend to help them.  Two of the three occupants got out of the vehicle while they waited.  A 20 year old woman from Georgetown remained in the rear seat.  The friend coming to help didn’t see the car disabled in the road and struck the rear of the car and a 22 year old man from Selbyville outside the car.  The Georgetown woman was not properly restrained and was taken to Shock Trauma in serious condition.  And the driver of the other vehicle was taken to PRMC with non-life threatening injuries.  He was not properly restrained and is believed to be driving impaired.  The investigation is continuing.
