Three Arrested for Burglary West of Georgetown

Three people have been arrested and charged with breaking into an elderly woman’s home on Old Furnace Road near Georgetown last month.  Delaware State Police say a 95 year old woman was awakened and found someone standing in the doorway to her bedroom.  The victim walked into the next room and spotted a second suspect – both ran from the home.  Investigation showed the suspects  27 year old Ethan Mulford of Seaford, 27 year old Mark Smith of Georgetown and 32 year old Matthew King of Laurel pried open a window on the screened-in porch – and took 2 rifles, a set of spoons, a jewelry box, the victim’s credit and debit cards and more.  All three are being held at SCI in default of bond.
